Since I can remember I have always had weight issues. I remember as a young adult constantly wondering how it was possible that my family and friends could eat whatever they wanted and maintain their weight, yet I would gain weight so quickly having eaten the same foods. As the years went on, I tried a variety of different diets and exercise programs. Even though some weight would come off, I would plateau in the early stages and my body would not release more weight. Then about two years ago a friend introduced me to the concept of Ketosis. By this point I was at my heaviest weight I had ever been. At the time I was calorie counting and going to the gym 4-5 days a week and still the weight stayed the same. I was losing hope that I would ever be a healthy weight, so I decided to give the Keto Diet a try. Within the first week I dropped 8 lbs, and over the course of 3 months I had released 35lbs. It was incredible to see how easy Keto was to follow. Never in my life had the weight melted off with such ease. Not only did the Keto diet help me overcome the weight issues I had been enduring for so long, but it also gave me the opportunity to learn how the body actually functions. I also became knowledgeable on the benefits of intermittent fasting, and how with the right balance of fats, protein, and net carbs that body is able to regulate it’s weight.
